Featuring driver-free installation and automatic input detection for true plug-and-play operation, our USB Capture Plus dongles support Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome operating systems and offer broad compatibility with popular third-party software.

USB 3.0 Connectivity for Data & Power

Our single-channel USB Capture Plus devices enable all types of computers including laptops to capture HD or 4K signals through a standard USB 3.0 interface, with no additional power source required. USB Capture Plus devices add powerful features including discrete analog audio input and output for capture and monitoring, as well signal loop-through on select models. They are ideal for use with software for streaming, web conferencing, lecture capture, live production, medical imaging and more.

Full Range of Interface Choices

Compatible with sources ranging from professional video cameras and hardware switchers to SLR cameras and game consoles, USB Capture Plus dongles support most common digital and analog signals at resolutions ranging from SD (720x480) to 4K (4096x2160).

Low-Latency, High Frame Rate Gaming Capture

The USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus supports 2560x1440p output signals from game consoles at 144fps. Its loop-through interface enables players to record or stream their games while ensuring low-latency gameplay.

FPGA-based Video Processing

All USB Capture models feature Magewell’s FPGA-based, zero-CPU-usage video processing, providing high-quality up/down conversion and image adjustments while maximizing CPU availability for third-party software.

M.2 PCI-E Eco Capture

Small Size, Low Power Consumption and Low Latency

Eco Capture M.2 cards offer systems integrators and OEM developers high-performance video capture solutions with low power consumption in a very compact form factor. The cards measure only 22x80mm (0.87x3.15in), making them perfect for use in small or portable systems where full-sized PCIe slots are not available.

Superb OS and API Compatibility

M.2 Eco Capture models are available with drivers for Windows and Linux operating systems, and support x86, x64 & ARM architectures. The devices support OS-native capture APIs, while our SDK provides custom Magewell APIs that enable developers to achieve lower-latency capture and synchronize channels across multi-channel or even multiple capture cards.

Flexible Input Interfaces

Eco Capture cards can capture up to four HD signals or one 4Kp60 signal, supporting HDMI, 3G-SDI, quad-link 3G-SDI and single-link 12G-SDI input. All models support up to eight channels of embedded audio per input.

Pro Convert hardware encoders and decoders let you easily and reliably bring baseband video and audio signals into and out of IP production workflows and AV-over-IP networks. Making your transition to video-over-IP easier and more affordable, the low-latency Pro Convert devices let you connect your existing acquisition, production, presentation, and distribution equipment into flexible, IP based production and streaming workflows.

Wide Range of Encoders and Decoders to Match Your Needs

Offering the robust reliability, assured performance, and compact size of dedicated hardware, the Pro Convert family comes in a broad array of models with flexible choices of input or output connectivity and encoding or decoding resolution. Pro Convert decoders can be paired with Pro Convert encoders or with our Ultra Stream (for streaming protocols) or Ultra Encode (for streaming or NDI®|HX) encoders for complete end-to-end workflows. Pro Convert products are also fully compatible with third-party hardware and software encoders and decoders to fit seamlessly into existing workflows.

Advanced NDI® Technology for Low-Latency Live Production

Pro Convert NDI encoders and decoders efficiently convert HDMI or SDI signals up to 4Kp60 to and from NewTek’s NDI technology for transport over standard local area networks and across multiple subnets. The Pro Convert family builds on NewTek’s NDI Embedded SDK to ensure compatibility with the growing ecosystem of NDI-enabled solutions, and transmits production-grade video and eight-channel audio with extremely low latency.

Decode High-Quality Internet Streams

Pro Convert decoders also support multiple streaming protocols including Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) – developed and open-sourced by Haivision – for internet-delivered H.264 and H.265 (HEVC) streams up to 4K at 60fps.

Ultra Stream & Encode

Advanced Encoder for Live Streaming, Recording & IP Workflow

Ultra Stream/Encode live media encoders offer systems integrators, streaming professionals, and OEM partners a flexible and affordable encoding solution for applications including live streaming, AV over IP, remote contribution, IP production workflows and much more. They support high-quality H.264, H.265 (HEVC) and multiple streaming protocols with wired or wireless network connectivity.

Multi-Input Video Processing

The single-channel Ultra Encode AIO can encode one live input source – either HDMI or SDI – or mix video from the HDMI and SDI inputs (picture-in-picture or side-by-side) into a combined output. Up to eight user-configurable overlays – including text, images, and a clock – can be applied to the output profile.

Live Streaming Made Easier

Ultra Stream/Encode supports live streaming in protocols including RTMP, RTMPS, HLS and mores, with configurable presets for easy streaming to Facebook, Twitch and YouTube. Some protocols can be streamed to multiple destinations simultaneously.

Production, Contribution & Monitoring

In addition to mainstream streaming protocols, Ultra Encode HDMI/SDI supports NewTek’s NDI®|HX technology for IP production workflows and the Secure Reliable Transport (SRT) protocol (developed and open-sourced by Haivision) for robust delivery of H.264/H.265 streams over unpredictable networks such as the Internet. The encoder can be camera-mounted for easy remote contribution, while bandwidth-efficient NDI®|HX streams can be sent over wireless networks to multiple receivers, simplifying on-site production and monitoring workflows.

AV over IP

Ultra Encode can be combined with our Pro Convert decoders to form flexible AV over IP infrastructures leveraging NDI®|HX and SRT technology. The devices can be configured and controlled through an intuitive Web GUI or HTTP-based APIs, providing systems integrators with exceptional deployment and integration flexibility.

Rackmount Shelf & Accessories

Magewell 1RU Rackmount Shelf & Mounting Kits

Magewell's 1RU rackmount shelf and corresponding mounting kits enable Magewell IP devices (including Ultra Encode universal live media encoders and Pro Convert encoders and decoders) to be installed in standard 19” equipment racks.

Flexible Mounting Positions

The round holes on the Magewell 1RU rackmount shelf enable users to install devices in precise positions, while the rounded rectangular holes allow adjustment of the installation position of each device.

Mix-and-Match Installations Supported

The rackmount shelf supports simultaneous installation of multiple Pro Convert or Ultra Encode devices. By purchasing the appropriate mounting kits for the corresponding products, users can mount different models of Magewell IP devices on the rackmount same shelf.
